Myofascial Release Myofascial Release has the benefit of working deep into the layers of restriction around muscles, organs, bones, and other structures of the body which are not palpable (cannot be felt) from the surface using other techniques.
This allows for far-reaching effects sometimes days after your treatment. As we unlock the fascia which covers every muscle, bone, nerve, artery, vein, and internal organ including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord it releases tension and restores movement. Fascia is a very densely woven connective tissue interconnected throughout the body. Should the fascial coverings be tight then the muscles / organs it contains are also restricted. This can be the key that allows you to achieve and maintain ongoing relief. ˜Myofascial™ refers to muscle and its fascia. The most interesting aspect of the fascial system is that it is one structure that exists from head to toe without interruption. In its normal healthy state, it has the ability to stretch and move. 
When we experience physical trauma, scarring, or inflammation, it loses its pliability (movement). It becomes tight and a source of tension to the rest of the body. Trauma, such as a fall, whiplash, surgery, or just habitual poor posture over time, and repetitive stress injuries have a cumulative effect.
